Abstract: This study deals with the determination of viscosity using the Ubehlode viscosimeter and the HAAKE RV2 rotation viscosimeter. The viscosities of hydrocarbon fractions were measured between –20°C and 140°C. Diesel fuel, vacuum distillates and asphalt were used as samples. The temperature dependences of Walter, Mehrotra and Umstätter equations were used for the calculation of viscosity values by extrapolation and intrapolation. The calculated viscosities compared with experimental values.

Keywords: viscosity, temperature dependence, hydrocarbon fractions
