Abstract: In the molecular structure of the title compound, C19H17F3N2O, the furopyridine ring system and the benzene ring are almost coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 5.7 (1)o. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into adjacent layers parallel to the bc plane by intermolecular C—H....N and C—H..F hydrogen bonds, resulting in the formation of a three-dimensional network. The piperidine ring has a chair conformation. The central furopyridine ring is essentially planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0,029 (3)Å. The dihedral angle between the furopyridine ring and the mean plane (C11/C12/C14/C15) of the piperidine ring is 42.5 (2)o.
